Counselling – Introduction to Level 4 – College Certificate


This course is for students who have completed the Level 2 course and wish to progress to the Higher Education Level 3 Counselling Certificate. The course is intended to encourage learners to explore and develop own self-awareness, both individually and as members of the group.
The nature of the course would expect learners to be willing to share thoughts and their own experiences and explore how those experiences might impact in a counselling relationship' and to consider and appreciate how the development of the counsellor impacts on the counselling practice. Students will complete a reflective journal at the end of the course which will capture key aspects of their personal development on the course. Those wishing to progress onto the HE counsellor training course (BSc Hons in Person Centred Counselling; validated by University of Derby) can submit an application to the admissions team on completion of the Level 3.
